Jet black mullet, flying V guitar, Matrix ensemble: Demi Lovato’s rock era is finally here. “Skin Of My Teeth” is the first song and video from Lovato’s forthcoming eighth studio album, HOLY FVCK, which arrives August 19. And they’re holding nothing back: “Demi leaves rehab again/ When is this shit gonna end?” they snarl in the first verse over a Hole guitar riff. The song vividly references Lovato’s tumultuous battle with addiction. In July 2018, Lovato suffered from a near-fatal drug overdose, which took their months to recover from. After releasing an album and a docu-series about their journey to recovery called “Dancing With the Devil,” Lovato said that they relapsed and had to return to a treatment center for a second time. All of which makes lines such as “The reaper knocks on...
Pharrell Williams has wasted no time this year. The iconic entrepreneurial-minded artist has already touched down on a plethora of major music releases in 2022. With the Dead Space remake well underway over at Motive Studios and EA, a group of the original game’s former developers who moved over to Striking Distance Studios has now also released the very first gameplay trailer of their latest passion project: The Callisto Protocol. From the trailer, the game very much plays like a spiritual successor to Dead Space, putting players in the shoes of a lone protagonist who finds himself trapped in a prison colony named Black Iron on Jupiter’s moon Callisto in the year 2320. Jacob Lee (played by Josh Duhamel) will have to fight off an alien invasion that seems to have been engineered by the prison’s warden. The game features very similar weapons to the Dead Space franchise including his main gun that acts pretty much just like Isaac’s Plasma ...

Titled “Dark Water,” the brand new mission takes place on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico where secret cargo has been stored with the potential to “spark a global conflict.” Learning of this intel, the franchise’s central Task Force 141 sets off to find and retrieve the missiles, dispatching Soap, Ghost, and Mexican Special Forces Colonel Alejandro Vargas alongside Shadow Company to take down enemies on the ship. “This is just one example of how Campaign missions will be more dynamic and lifelike, something that the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare began to innovate on compared to ...
Following last month’s launch of Rott N’ Roll Records, Zomboy has returned with the label’s sophomore release, a new single called “Desperado.” “Desperado” is a step out of Zomboy’s normal wheelhouse, surprising listeners with a bass house beast of a record. The track embraces the usual nuances found within his musical arrangements, such as his intricate sound design and expertly crafted drums, but packs them into an unfamiliar tempo. The track isn’t what most would expect from the dubstep star, but that doesn’t make it any less impressive. “Desperado” is a unique and stellar addition to Zomboy’s discography during the infancy of his new imprint. “Desperado was such a fun track for me to make,” Zomboy...
Marshmello and Khalid were silent for too long. Five years and two billion streams later, the two crossover stars have joined forces for a new single called “Numb,” the successor to 2017’s global dance hit “Silence.” Eschewing the contemporary pop-trap style of its predecessor, “Numb” instead glides along to a breezy four-on-the-floor rhythm. This time around, Mello produced a breezy deep house track designed for poolside lounging. And Khalid’s velveteen voice is as smooth as ever, crooning about taking advantage of the time we have with a new love. Check out the official “Numb” music video below.
