Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva Press Conference Sees the Fighters Face Off for the First Time

Shortly after being officially announced, Showtime Sports held a press conference for Paul vs. Silva. Set to take place at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona October 29, the Showtime PPV will see international superstar and undefeated pro boxer Jake “The Problem Child” Paul and UFC legend, now pro boxer, Anderson “The Spider” Silva meet up in the boxing ring.

Kicking off the pre-fight promotions for the main event, Anderson’s former MMA rival, Chael Sonnen, hosted the press conference where the two fighters shared respect for one another and offered a number of interesting soundbites. Aside from Silva touching on how blessed he feels to still be involved in combat sports, Jake Paul and brother Logan Paul shared respect for Silva, even sharing how they had the chance to meet the fighter when they were younger.

Jake Paul also took the chance to poke at his previously set opponents that pulled out and antagonized UFC President Dana White, pushing for yet another multi-million dollar bet.

The press conference ended with Jake Paul and Anderson Silva facing off, before part two of the media campaign for their fight in Phoenix, Arizona September 13. Paul vs. Silva will take place at Gila River Arena and air live on Showtime PPV October 29.

For more sports news, Nate Diaz is set to launch his own combat sports promotion, “Real Fight Inc.”
