RISE AGAINST Shares New Interactive Video For ‘Talking To Ourselves’

RISE AGAINST has shared a gripping new video for “Nowhere Generation” single “Talking To Ourselves” — a standout track about falling to complacency and feeling as though no one is listening — that features evolving and cryptic transmissions for fans to discover via QR codes, and are encouraged to follow over the next few weeks. “The intention behind the video was to yet again shed light on us as a society and to expand on the feeling that we have progressively lost our humanity,” explains director Ryan Valdez. “In our video, the QR codes represent little windows to the world outside of our bubbles, only to be dismissed and swiped onto the next event. It feels so bleak. Heartbreaking headlines are so disposable and just another hashtag buried in the...

Alice in Chains’ 10 Best Songs

As one of the “Big Four” bands of Seattle grunge, Alice in Chains’ distinctive specialties (such as sludgy instrumentation and vocal harmonies) set them apart. In fact, they created some of the most meaningful and enduring rock music of the last 30-plus years, so it’s no wonder why they remain so revered. Fascinatingly, the group formed after the disbandment of Alice N’ Chains, a glam metal band fronted by vocalist Layne Staley whose moniker was a mischievous mixture of Alice in Wonderland and female bondage. Luckily, Staley didn’t have to wait long before fate would put him, guitarist Jerry Cantrell, drummer Sean Kinney, and bassist Mike Starr together. Although they initially played around with other names (including Diamond Lie and F**k), they soon settled on the marginally altered “Ali...

We’ve played together for 18 crazy years filled with music, tours and friendship. So many countries, so many songs, and so many gigs with Horgh on stage with us. Earlier today (Tuesday, April 5), JUDAS PRIEST guitarist Richie Faulkner spoke to Sean P McKenna of East Coast Live about the cancelation of the band’s concert last night at Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell in Lowell, Massachusetts. He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “We’re resting up. Yesterday, we had to, unfortunately, cancel the show. And the reason for that is so that we can preserve our health and get better. Rob‘s [Halford, PRIEST singer] got a bit of a cold. So we can preserve our health, get back on track and do the rest of the shows in Canada. Yeah, that’s what we’re aiming to do. “Obviously, [some of] these [other] guys [in PRIEST] have been doing it for 50 years; I’ve been doing it for a few years with them. Even if you d...

Justin Bieber Offering $3 Million in Free Therapy to Fans and Crew

Justin Bieber is likely raking in millions on his 98-date “Justice World Tour,” but he’s sharing the wealth by financing therapy for his fans and crew. The pop star has teamed up with affordable therapy service BetterHelp to offer mental health assistance of up to $3,000,000 in value. “The one thing I’ve learned over the years is that we all go through our ups and downs, and we all need help sometimes,” Bieber said in a statement. “Being able to offer access to free therapy to my fans and tour family is a real blessing, and I’m humbled to be able to do it.” Perhaps aware of the toll that working away from home for months on end — and in a pandemic, no less — can have on touring musicians, Bieber’s deal prioritizes his crew, offering his 250+ person team free access to 18 months of therapy....
