It’s a beloved tradition, and despite the pandemic, this year’s event will take place as scheduled — albeit in the form of a livestream. Longtime event host Jon Stewart will return to emcee this year’s edition of Stand Up for Heroes. Throughout the night, he will be joined by a string of comedians and musicians, including Bruce Springsteen, Sheryl Crow, Tiffany Haddish, Brad Paisley, Patti Scialfa, and Iliza Shlesinger. Saturday Night Live Audience Members Are Being Paid to Attend

Saturday Night Live tickets are traditionally hard to come by, but these days the TV show is literally paying people to sit in the crowd. Due to reopening guidelines implemented by the state of New York, live television shows are prohibited from having in-person audiences unless they pay the crowd as they would cast members, and SNL happily obliged, reports The New York Times. Tickets to SNL have long been a coveted item for fans of comedy, musicians, and entertainment at large, but technically they’ve always been offered for free by NBC. The ongoing coronavirus pandemic is throwing a wrench into that plan, however, as indoor events are deemed “high-risk” scenarios by the CDC and social distancing is encouraged, forcing the show to “cast” an audience and pay them for their time. Entire Cast of Saturday Night Live to Return for Season 46

NBC’s beloved institution Saturday Night Live was arguably at the top of its game during its last season, sweeping up 15 nominations at the 2020 Emmy Awards. It’s no wonder, then, that they’re not looking to shake anything up soon with Season 46. For the first time in over a decade, Saturday Night Live will kick off the next run with its entire cast returning. Season 46 will premiere on October 3rd via NBC and run through 2021. When it does, the roster will include no new members and SNL will film in its Rockefeller Center studio for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic shuttered production in March.
