After missing two consecutive years, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has announced that E3 will be officially returning both in-person and online next summer for the first physical event since 2019. E3 was first established in 1995, and over the years, it has become the video game industry’s premier convention globally, with its annual showcases typically attracting more than 50,000 people. With the release window for Sonic Frontiers still some time away, SEGA has now announced an animated prologue for the long-awaited platformer. The reveal was made during the gaming company’s Sonic Central livestream event where it showed off a quick snippet of Knuckles standing in front of and seemingly protecting the Master Emerald in the midst of a storm. Nintendo Calls Hacker’s Sentencing a “Unique Opportunity” To Set an Example

Nintendo is making an example out of Gary Bowser, a member of the hacking group Team-Xecuter, who was sentenced to 40 months in prison over pirating activity in February. The famed video game company described the sentencing as a “unique opportunity” to send a message regarding piracy, with the transcript of Bowser’s sentencing providing rare insight about the company’s stance on the issue. Nintendo’s lawyer Ajay Singh told the court that “this is a very significant moment for us,” adding, “It’s the purchase of video games that sustains Nintendo and the Nintendo ecosystem, and it is the games that make the people smile. Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney has publicly slammed the Fortnite Tokens making its round on social media, calling the crypto currency “a scam” and threatening legal action against it. Taking to Twitter to share his thoughts, the CEO confirmed that the Fortnite Tokens are not created nor supported by Epic Games. “There isn’t a Fortnite cryptocurrency. At Sony Playstation‘s recent State of Play presentation, fans were treated to an announcement trailer for Street Fighter 6. Despite the latest addition to the Capcom fighting series being set to release 2023, leaks for the game have already surfaced.
