Young Fathers Announce New Album Heavy Heavy, Share Video for New Song: Watch

Young Fathers have announced their new album, Heavy Heavy, with a music video for a song called “I Saw.” The album is due out February 3 via Ninja Tune. Check out the tracklist and the David Uzochukwu–directed video below. In July, Young Fathers shared “Geronimo,” the first offering from Heavy Heavy. Of the album, the group’s Kayus Bankole said in a statement: “You let the demons out and deal with it. Make sense of it after.” In 2018, the group was booted from the lineup at a German festival for refusing to distance themselves from the BDS movement, which the festival opposed. Songclip has announced a partnership with Hipgnosis. Known as the “world’s only patented music clip company,” Songclip helps the music industry get clips of songs uploaded and properly licensed for apps like TikTok. The deal will allow Songclips to work with 100,000 new songs administered by Hipgnosis. This news arrives months after the 2022 NMPA Annual Meeting in which its CEO and president, David Israelite, announced that the organization will be partnering with Songclip to help remedy the issue of unlicensed music on emerging apps.
