Solange Composes Score for New York City Ballet
Solange has composed a score for the New York City Ballet. Her piece for a chamber ensemble will accompany a ballet choreographed by Gianna Reisen. Solange’s music will be performed by some of her collaborators and also members of the New York City Ballet Orchestra. Solange and Reisen’s work will premiere on Wednesday, September 28, at New York’s Lincoln Center. The piece will be performed again on October 1, 8, 11, and 16 as well as May 2, 11, 13, 17, and 18. The show is part of the New York City Ballet’s Fall Fashion Gala, which pairs choreographers with designers. Solange and Reisen’s performance will feature costumes by Alejandro Gómez Palomo of Palomo Spain.
Warner Bros. Reportedly Still Wants Leslie Grace To Play Batgirl in Future Projects
Following the news of Warner Bros. Discovery‘s decision to pull its already-completed Batgirl film from any form of release, fans were left in dismay. The move to cancel the film led fans to wonder if they would ever see a Batgirl project. The move also comes during Warner Bros. Discovery’s shakeup. Despite canceling the film, Variety has reported that the new group’s chiefs Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy are still hoping to “mend fences” with Leslie Grace. While Batgirl’s own film has been shelved, the studio reportedly wants Grace to continue playing the character for other projects or even be a part of different productions at the studio. Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt Join David Leitch for ‘The Fall Guy’
Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling have now been confirmed to join the cast of Deadpool 2 and Bullet Train director David Leitch‘s next project The Fall Guy. According to new reports, the new film is inspired by the similarly named Fall Guy, a television series from the ’80s that revolved around a Hollywood stuntman played by Lee Majors. To make ends meet, he also went bounty hunting on the side, and the show explored his adventures alongside his sidekick Douglas Barr and stunt actor colleague Heather Thomas.
