20th Century Studios has officially debuted the trailer for Ridley Scott‘s highly anticipated project, The Dog Stars. Delivering a gripping look at a broken society, the upcoming film explores the brutal aftermath of a devastating pandemic that has nearly wiped out humanity.
Based on Peter Heller’s acclaimed bestselling novel, the narrative follows Hig, played by Jacob Elordi. As a civilian pilot, he spends his days flying an aging Cessna over the remains of Colorado. He shares an isolated existence in an airplane hangar with his loyal dog and a hardened military survivalist named Bangley, portrayed by Josh Brolin. The trailer highlights the grim reality of their survival, featuring hostile invaders, desperate survivors, and desolate landscapes.
However, their efficient but isolated homestead is disrupted when Hig receives a mysterious radio transmission. Sparking a mission to uncover the source of the signal, Hig ventures into dangerous, unknown territory in search of hope and human connection. Adapted for the screen by Mark L.
