In celebration of its massive success during the hybrid era of Formula 1, Mercedes-AMG has now created an F1 Edition trim for the AMG GT 63 S E Performance. Carrying a plug-in hybrid powertrain, the rear-mounted electric motor draws power from a 6.1kWh battery pack to work in tandem with the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine to produce a whopping 831 horsepower and upward of 1,032 pound-feet of torque.

To complement its impressive performance, the car has also been dressed up in all of the automaker’s most exclusive shades and materials. The exterior of the F1 Edition comes in a MANUFAKTUR Alpine Grey, which is then adorned with AMG graphics and contrasting red accents that match with the red rim flanges of the 21-inch matte black wheels.

The AMG Aerodynamics package gives the racer an even sportier look via a black rear aerofoil, a larger front splitter with air deflectors, a redesigned rear diffuser, and deflectors on the rear wing’s side air outlets. Completing the vehicle are black accents from both the AMG Night Package Exterior and AMG Night Package II and a black and red interior utilizing carbon fiber, Nappa leather and DINAMICA microfiber.

Unfortunately, U.S. availability has yet to be announced for now, so those interested should be on the lookout for more updates from Mercedes-AMG.

Elsewhere in the automotive world, BMW has unveiled its refreshed 3 Series for 2023.
