ISOxo and G Jones Collide On New Bass Anthem, “Say What”

G Jones and ISOxo have joined forces for “Say What,” a highly anticipated collab. After being teased in their live shows as early as the fall of 2021 and appearing in Jones’ collaborative Disk Doctors mix with EPROM, “Say What” grew to become one of their most popular IDs. It’s now officially hit streaming platforms. Like stepping into a monochromatic world crafted by M.C. Escher, “Say What” is G Jones and ISOxo at their very best. “The song ‘Say What’ started off as a beat challenge that I did a few years ago,” explained ISOxo, who was named to EDM.com‘s Class of 2022 earlier this year. “I wanted to make a G Jones-type beat when creating the track, little did I know that years later he would actually ...

G Jones and EPROM Drop Fan-Favorite ID, “R.A.V.E.”

Two weeks after exploring the sounds of rave music’s past in a scintillating mixtape, G Jones and EPROM have released one of its hotly anticipated tracks. Late last month, the duo shared remixes, unreleased collaborations and more as the “Disk Doctors.” Harnessing both of their masterful abilities, they brought forth an impressive collection of old-school, acid-tinged tracks that fused the sounds of the 90s with their signature production style. The entire mixtape is an incredible testament to this seminal period in electronic music history, but its opening track quickly became a standout after its appearance as well as a spin in Madeon’s remarkable Lost Lands 2022 DJ set. Now, the duo have officially released “R.A.V.E.,” an acronym for “Reali...

G Jones and EPROM Pen Tribute to 90’s Rave Music With Collaborative Mixtape, “Disk Doctors”

Two of the world’s most innovative producers are introducing a new generation to the sounds of rave music’s past. In the early days of summer, G Jones and EPROM joined forces for their Acid Disk 2 EP. The long-awaited follow-up to 2017’s namesake, the record plunged fans headlong into a spiral of retro, acid-inspired sounds. Now, they’ve put their minds together to create Disk Doctors, a new collaborative mixtape. Featuring loads of distorted synths and ingenious samples, the tape weaves between genres in an ode to 90’s rave music. Spanning 18 tracks, it finds the tandem pulling music from the aforementioned EPs and including songs from Squarepusher, Nevermind, MPIA3 and more. It also features unreleased tunes, a number of which Jones confirmed will eventually...

G Jones Announces New EP, Drops Stunning Single “Operator”: Listen

When G Jones releases new music, you stop what you’re doing and listen. The virtuosic bass music producer has released a new single, “Operator.” Jones introduced fans to the track over two years ago, when it appeared in his fan-favorite “REMOTE TRANSMISSION” mix. The glitchy song ultimately exploded in popularity among his fanbase, with many affectionately calling it “Ray Gun ID” as they clamored for an official release. “Operator” is simply par for the course for Jones, who is revered in electronic music circles as one of the scene’s most technically gifted producers. His groundbreaking approach to sound design is encapsulated beautifully in the blistering track, where gritty rave leads, acid-inspired bass and eerie arp...

G Jones & EPROM Mesmerize Minds On Collaborative EP, Acid Disk 2

Somewhere along the way, G Jones and EPROM descended into a time warp, and they’ve brought the 90’s acid rave back with them. Perhaps it’s not enough to say the forward-thinking bass music heavyweights have merely brought it back – rather they’ve taken the reigns on the frenetic, psychedelic-infused genre and made it uniquely their own. Picking right up where they left off with their 2017 collaborative EP, Acid Disk 2 is seemingly everything all at once – swapping between trap, spirited drum & bass, and punchy acid house in rapid succession. With respect to the duo’s focus on incorporating classic acid synth textures, mind-melting stutters, and heavy-handed distortion, the two found ample room to play around with these staple sonics across the six-track EP while ...
