Jessie Reyez Announces New Album ‘Yessie’ and Shares New Track “Mutual Friend”

Jessie Reyez has delivered a new single, dubbed “Mutual Friend,” along with the release date for her forthcoming album Yessie. The Colombian-Canadian artist appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night to perform the new track, which also arrives with a Peter Huang-directed music video. Michelle Branch Arrested for Domestic Assault

The Nashville police department has confirmed to SPIN that singer/songwriter Michelle Branch was detained for domestic abuse. The arrest occurred after Branch announced her separation from her husband of three years, drummer Patrick Carney of the Black Keys. TMZ, which reported the story first, also noted that court records showed Branch struck Carney in the face “one to two times.” Branch’s bail was set at $1,000. Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ To Increase Prices in December 2022

Disney will be increasing the prices of Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ in December 2022 as it introduces its ad-supported version in the United States. According to reports, the price hike will take effect December 8 and will see the premium ad-free Disney+ rise from $7.99 USD monthly to $10.99 USD a month or $109.99 USD a year. Hulu’s current ad-supported version will rise from $6.99 USD a month or $69.99 USD a year to $7.99 USD a month or $79.99 USD, while its ad-free tier will jump from $12.99 USD a month to $14.99 USD a month. Tickets for Studio Ghibli Theme Park Are Now on Sale

Studio Ghibli Park in Japan is gearing up for its grand opening later this Fall with the official release of tickets available for purchase. The theme park is located in Aichi Earth Expo Memorial Park, which is just less than two hours away by train from the city of Kyoto. Coming in at approximately 17.5 acres, the park will feature three open areas and includes Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse. Visitors will be able to experience exhibits and artifacts from some of the studio’s most noteworthy films. Charlie Cox‘s return as Daredevil has long been requested by fans, and after a brief cameo as his Matt Murdock persona in Spider-Man: No Way Home, he’s finally going to put on the cowl again in the upcoming Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Dinosaur Jr., Circuit des Yeux, and the jazz musician Anat Cohen have each shared a song recorded using THX Spatial Audio, a technology described by the company as next-generation surround sound. Pitchfork London Adds Second Wave of Artists

Pitchfork is pleased to announce that more artists have been added to this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival London. Black Country, New Road and O. join the bill on Wednesday night, with Julien Chang, Ekkstacy, and Hannah Jadagu added to Thursday’s roster at Oslo. The festival starts on Thursday, November 9 and runs through Sunday, November 13. Tickets are still available; find those here. In addition to their performance, members of Black Country, New Road will introduce a screening of the 1997 documentary Hands on a Hardbody at the Institute for Contemporary Art.
