Tegan and Sara TV Drama High School Gets First Trailer
The first trailer for High School, the new TV drama based on Tegan and Sara’s memoir of the same name, is here. Check it out below. The coming-of-age series stars Railey and Seazynn Gilliland as Tegan and Sara, with Clea DuVall serving as executive producer, co-writer, director, and co-showrunner. Tegan and Sara are also executive producers on the show. The series premieres October 14 via Amazon Freevee. Bonnie “Prince” Billy has released a cover of the Ramones’ Subterranean Jungle song “Outsider.” The track was produced in 2016 by Mark Nevers, and it features contributions from William Tyler, longtime collaborator Pete Townsend, Chris Scruggs (of the Fabulous Superlatives), and the late David Berman. It already feels like Spotify controls every aspect of the music industry, but the streaming service is still looking for ways to tighten its grip. Per Music Ally, Spotify is now testing a feature that sells concert tickets directly to fans. Spotify already has a Live Events tab on its mobile app that links users to external ticketing companies, and its “Fans First” initiative tips users off to tours by the artists they listen to most. But the new website, which is only in a test run, sells tickets under the Spotify name — with the company getting a cut of the booking fee. Spotify’s ticketing website is currently only available in the US and is offering tickets to Annie DiRusso, Tokimonsta, Osees, Dirty Honey, Limbeck, Crows and Four Years Strong. Michelle Branch was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic assault after allegedly slapping her estranged husband, Patrick Carney, earlier this week. According to an arrest record reviewed by Consequence, police were called to the couple’s Nashville home around 2:00 a.m. local time on Thursday, after Branch allegedly slapped Carney in the face “one to two times.” Branch was booked on one-count of misdemeanor domestic assault and posted a $1,000 bond.
