Russell Westbrook Stars in New “Dear Brodie” Short Film

Russell Westbrook‘s Los Angeles-based label, Honor The Gift, has debuted the first trailer for “Dear Brodie”, a short film starring Westbrook that tells a coming-of-age story and serves as a reminder to never lose sight of the person we want to be.

Directed by Dennis Williams from Campsight Studios and Zero World Media Productions, the film flashes between a young Brodie and the grown NBA star version of himself. The film serves as a time capsule and is seen through the perspective of Westbrook’s dad as Brodie continues to reference the kid inside which inspired him to reach his highest potential.

In tandem with the trailer’s release, Honor The Gift introduces its Fall 2022 “District” collection inspired by the Unified School Districts of L.A — continuing the “Inner City Student” themes presented in Westbrook’s first two collections.

The “District” collection is now available online with more information on the short film to arrive soon.

In other news, Sony Pictures announces a new Karate Kid movie.
