Iceage Announce Rarities Album Shake the Feeling, Share Title Track: Stream

Iceage have revealed that a new compilation album titled Shake the Feeling: Outtakes & Rarities 2015–2021 will arrive on September 23rd via Mexican Summer. The announcement comes along with a music video for the title track that showcases the Danish quintet’s raw and visceral live set. Over 12 tracks, Shake the Feeling offers a peek into the band’s vault during the era between 2014’s Plowing Into the Field of Love to last year’s Seek Shelter. Earlier this week, the Academy issued a formal apology to Sacheen Littlefeather for her treatment at the 1973 Oscars, where she declined Marlon Brando’s award for Best Actor. As president of the National Native American Affirmative Image Committee, Littlefeather endured racist mockery and threats of arrest and violence when she appeared on Brando’s behalf to protest the mistreatment of American Indians in the film industry. Q Lazzarus, Elusive “Goodbye Horses” Musician, Dies at 61

Q Lazzarus, the reclusive musician behind the beloved 1988 single “Goodbye Horses,” has died. An obituary that appeared in the Asbury Park Press in late July states that the she died on July 19 after a short illness. Further cause of death has not been revealed. Eva Aridjis, a close friend who was working on a documentary about the singer, confirmed the death to Rolling Stone. Lazzarus was 61 years old.  “Q had one of those life forces that you simply can’t imagine being extinguished or ceasing to exist, because it was so vital and radiant and exuberant. Woman Testifies That R. Kelly Sexually Abused Her in Infamous Tape When She Was 14

As previously indicated in 2019, a woman who has identified herself as the underage girl in the infamous VHS tape with R. Kelly testified today (August 18) in the federal trial against the singer, The New York Times and Chicago Tribune report. The woman took the stand in the Chicago courtroom, where she testified that she appeared in the tape, that she was 14 at the time, and that she was repeatedly sexually abused by Kelly as a minor. That video and others are the basis for the child pornography and obstruction charges that Kelly is facing. The tape, showing Kelly engaging in sex acts with a 14 year old, was anonymously mailed to reporter Jim DeRogatis in February 2002. That year, Kelly was charged with making child pornography. Red Hot Chili Peppers have shared a new song called “Tippa My Tongue,” the first track they’ve offered from their forthcoming album Return of the Dream Canteen, out October 14 via Warner.
